Operating your MoBike

There are two levers on the handle bar of the MoBike. The one on the left is the clutch lever and the one on the right is the dual brake lever. When you pull on the clutch lever it disengages the motor from the rear wheel and you can use the pedals to ride the bike to get it going to start the engine. To keep the clutch disengaged pull the lever towards the handle bar and push down the clutch lockout button. To release the clutch lockout button pull the clutch lever towards the handle bar and it will pop up.

Pulling the right lever (dual braking lever) towards the handle bar will engage the front and rear wheel brakes.

The grip on the right hand side of the handle bar is the throttle for the engine. By twisting it towards the rider you increase the amount of fuel to the engine and therefore increase the engine speed. The yellow button just to the left of the throttle is the engine kill switch. To stop the motor push the button in until the motor quits running. Note: Be sure to pull in the clutch lever to disengage the motor from the rear wheel or as soon as you let off the kill button or the motor will restart.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1.        To kill the engine on the MoBike pull the clutch lever towards the handle bar and push in the yellow Kill Switch.

2.       To stop the MoBike pull the brake and clutch levers towards the handle bar.

Preparing to ride the MoBike.

1.       Insure that there is fuel in the tank by removing the tank cap and looking inside.

2.       Turn on the fuel shut off valve and insure fuel is flowing into the fuel line.

3.       Push the carburetor prime button (located on the carburetor) down and hold for approximately 3 seconds.

4.       Move the choke lever all the way up.

Starting the MoBike

1.       Hold the clutch lever all the way towards the handle bar (disengaging the motor from the rear wheel) and begin riding the bike. Get moving at a good pace (approximately 5 to 10 mph.)

2.       Release the clutch lever and continue to ride the bike until the motor starts running.

3.       Twist the throttle towards you increasing the speed of the bike.

4.       After 30 to 60 seconds of riding reach down and push the carburetor choke lever all the way down.

Now just adjust the throttle to achieve the speed you desire and enjoy the ride!

Stopping and starting the MoBike

As you approach a spot where you need to stop, such as an intersection, pull and hold the clutch lever in towards the handle bar. This will disengage the motor from the rear wheel. Apply the required brake pressure by pulling the brake lever towards the handle bar to insure a smooth stop.

NOTE: It would be good to practice quick stops in order to understand how quickly your bike can come to a stop. If necessary you can adjust the brakes (as per the maintenance instruction manual) to stop your bike as quickly as possible in an emergency situation.

From a stop give the motor more fuel and gradually let the clutch lever out, engaging the motor to the rear wheel. This will allow you to make a smooth start from a standing stop.

NOTE: Due to the smaller horse power of the 49cc (MoBike-G50) you will be required to pedal the bike from a stop to get it going.

Riding the MoBike like a bicycle

To ride the MoBike like a regular bicycle pull the clutch lever in and use the clutch lockout button. With the clutch locked out you simply pedal the bike like any other bicycle. To stop you use the brake lever just as when you are operating in motorized mode.

Shutting down the MoBike

When you are done riding the MoBike for the day simply turn of the fuel cut off valve and park it.  Leave the clutch disengaged when parking the MoBike, this allows all of the springs to stay expanded.
